Parents are a bunch of kids and, well, sometimes they don’t get it.
So, parents of children ages six months to 18 months can look to a new program called “Parent Portal,” which offers free meals to any parent in need.
The program’s creators, Parents for the First Family, say they’re not trying to sell you on the idea that it’s the best way to get kids to start eating better.
“What we’re really trying to do is offer them the option of taking care of themselves, doing the things they love, being the best parents they can be,” said parent Kristin Broussard.
They’re even offering an “easter egg” if parents make it a habit to make a meal at least once a week.
Parent Portal is part of the Parenting Summit, which will take place June 22-24 in New York City.
The summit is designed to highlight and promote new approaches to parenting and support families to create healthier and happier lives.
