Parents in Australia can be toxic, a study has found.
The research, which surveyed a group of more than 1,000 parents across the country, found that many of them were “overly sensitive” to their children’s feelings.
Parents can become “too sensitive” when their children don’t feel safe, the study found.
It also found that some of them thought their children were being “overstepped” or “overstimulated”.
The study was published in the journal Psychological Science. “
It is important to understand that the primary reason for this is to protect the children, and that they are doing so at their own risk,” they add.
The study was published in the journal Psychological Science.
